Artichokes
Roland® offers a large variety of artichokes to be used in many different cooking applications.
Artichokes are perennial plants grown for their edible buds. Originating in the Mediterranean, artichokes were cultivated in ancient times and remain a key ingredient in a variety of modern dishes. Artichokes possess a mild, earthy, and even nutty flavor.
Although artichokes are said to have originated in the Mediterranean, they are now grown in other locations with mild, humid climates. In the United States, California is the main grower of artichokes.
