Fig Jam Cinnamon Roll

Sweet and sticky cinnamon rolls using Roland Foods Fig Jam! Recipe from creator Renee Li.
For the Dough
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoon quick rise yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 cups bread flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
For the Filling
- 1 jar Roland® Fig Jam
- 1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Glaze
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup milk
Directions
- Pour the warm milk in the bowl of a stand mixer and sprinkle the yeast overtop
- Add the eggs, butter, salt and sugar. Mix until combined
- Add flour and egg mixture in a stand mixer. Mix at medium speed for 10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and slightly sticky
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, let is rest for 2 hours until the dough rises to its double size
- After dough has doubled in size, transfer dough to a working surface and roll out into a 14x9 inch rectangle. Spread fig jam over the dough, and sprinkle with cinnamon
- Starting on the long end, roll the dough up tightly jelly roll style. Cut into 12 slices and place in a baking pan
- Cover the pan and allow the rolls to rise for 20 minutes or until nearly double
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 20-22 minutes, until the rolls are lightly golden brown
- While the rolls are cooling, prepare the sauce: Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in other ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool
- Pour the sauce over the roll, and enjoy!
