Pork Lumpia with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
Difficulty: Easy | Makes: 20 Spring Rolls
Crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor on the inside. This classic Filipino appetizer will have you going back for seconds!
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup green onion, finely chopped
- 1 8oz can Roland® Sliced Water Chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and shredded
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 20 pieced spring roll wrappers
- Roland® Grapeseed Oil, for frying
- Roland® Thai Style Chili Sauce, for dipping
Directions
For the Spring Rolls
- Sautee the pork in a little grapeseed oil for around 5 minutes or until 75% cooked
- Mix in the remaining ingredients, tasting for salt
- Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of filling per spring roll into the wrappers. Fold the bottom over first, then the sides, and seal the top with water. Roll the spring rolls over to seal
- Repeat and freeze if desired
- To cook, heat grapeseed oil and fry until golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes
- Serve with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
