Marcel the shod shell

Would you mind if we started this list with the movie that melted our hearts in a little puddle? We don’t know if we can convey exactly how much we loved Elvis better than Charles Taylor. In his review for Esquire, he wrote that director Baz Luhrmann succeeded in “treating Elvis both as a conscious transgressor and as a conscious artist, honor denied to Elvis when considered an uneducated folk artist, a lucky wild man, or a curiosity that carries as much weight as a reproduction of an old Coke ad.” Look at this!

The lost city had the potential to be the big-screen comedy we’ve been craving since returning to movies. It didn’t quite get there, but that doesn’t mean you should sleep on the film. The lost city is basically a nearly two-hour teaser starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Daniel Radcliffe, which seems like time well spent to us.
