This relevant musical has appeared in the West End, but has never been to Broadway, which means its premiere on Amazon Prime and in theaters in the US is going to get EVERYBODY talking about Jamie!

2.Dear Evan Hansen

The show that swept the Tony Awards in 2017, Dear Evan Hansen, arrives on screen on September 24 with the original Evan Hansen. Ben platt returns to once again play the socially anxious high school student caught in a web of lies surrounding the suicide of a classmate. If you missed seeing Platt on Broadway, don’t worry. On the 24th, you will be able to watch it “forever …” (as soon as musical theater replaces anime in the general public, everyone will have this reference).

3.Tic, Tic … Boom!

contrary to Dear Evan Hansen, Tic, Tic … Boom! does not have overwhelming modern notoriety. 4.West Side Story

Okay, buckle up for a classic. West Side Story hits the screen on December 10. This classic love story based on Romeo and Juliet and set in 1950s New York City, has been a classic for years. The original musical from the movie West Side Story was released in 1961 and still remains a favorite among many. However, the new film will in no way be pale compared to the original. It will be like comparing apples and oranges. This reinvention of the show will feature powerful performers Ansel Elgort, Rachel Zegler, Ariana DeBose and Rita Moreno. It is also directed by STEPHEN SPIELBERG. Yes. You read correctly ! A timeless musical plus the directorial styles of Stephen Speilberg? It’s a safe bet that West Side Story is about to break box office records.
